Been running a 2016 Trafic (1.6 dCi twin-turbo) as a work van for a few years, mostly mixed routes with a full load of tools. It’s a solid mile-eater. The engine feels relaxed compared with some 2.0 vans I’ve driven, pulls nice from low revs, and the 6-speed box is fine. No auto option though, and you do notice that in stop-start city work.

Handling is decent but don’t expect Transit Custom vibes. Turn-in is accurate enough and it feels balanced, ride is on the firm side but it doesn’t smash you up. What bugs me a bit is wind noise on faster roads, it’s more obvious than you’d think.

Cab is practical but kinda bland. Plastics feel cheap and storage is just… not great. Big central tray is handy for paperwork, glovebox is average, and I’d want the upper lidded box if you’re leaving stuff in there. The wide-angle mirror in the sun visor is actually useful once you get used to it, saved me at a few awkward junctions.

Running costs have been reasonable. Parts are easy to get and most local independents know their way around them, so servicing hasn’t been drama.
